Overview

A inclusive forum celebrating women leading conservation innovation—from drone-powered wildlife monitoring to geospatial analysis, AI, and data systems. Women in Conservation Forum (WiCF) is a core part of GCTF 2026 and leads directly into International Women’s Day.

Programme (12:00–19:30)

  • 12:00 – 13:00 – Session 1: Opening Keynote Panel - Women Leading Conservation Innovation (3–5 speakers from Africa and beyond)

  • 13:00 – 14:00 – Networking Lunch & Expo/Posters

  • 14:00 – 15:00 – Session 2: Thematic Speed Talks - 7–10 minute presentations showcasing women-led conservation projects.

  • 15:00 – 16:30 – Session 3: Mentorship Circles & Skills-Building Workshops - Small-group discussions and practical modules (e.g., communication, proposal writing, geospatial tools, field safety).

  • 16:30 – 17:00 – Coffee Break & Networking

  • 17:00 – 18:30 – Session 4: Student & Early-Career Showcase + Closing Plenary

  • 18:30 – 19:30 – Networking
