Conference Tracks

Track 1

Drones in Nature Conservation

From operational excellence to ecological intelligence.

This track explores how aerial systems and automated platforms are transforming wildlife protection, habitat monitoring and restoration across Africa and beyond.

From thermal imaging over savannahs to drone-assisted seed dispersal and coastal surveillance, we focus on practical field applications that put technology in service of nature.

Topics include BVLOS operations, swarm deployment, anti-poaching support, human-wildlife conflict monitoring and seed-planting flights in remote landscapes.

Track 2

Behind the Data – AI, GIS & Conservation Intelligence

Turning observations into decisions.

Turning field observations into strategic decisions, this track dives into how AI, GIS, sensors and data platforms are powering intelligent conservation systems.

Join us for sessions on species-detection using machine learning, multi-sensor integration (satellite + bioacoustics + drones), data sovereignty, open standards and predictive ecology.

Together, we advance conservation intelligence that is ethical, inclusive and action-ready.

Track 3

Connected Environments: Sensors, Satellites & Marine Technologies

Integrating air, ground, water, and space for resilient ecosystems.

From air to ocean to upland landscapes, this track emphasises how integrated sensor networks, satellites, IoT devices and marine platforms provide the continuity needed for ecosystem resilience.

Explore innovations in freshwater and coastal monitoring, acoustic and bio-logging systems, satellite-drone synergy, early-warning for fire/flood/drought and IoT for restoration landscapes.

If you’re working on connected environment solutions with real-world impact, this track is for you.

Cross-Cutting Themes

All three tracks are interlinked through cross-cutting, nature-first themes that ensure technology remains in service of wildlife, habitats, and communities, with biodiversity outcomes as the primary measure of success. Human–wildlife coexistence; Habitat protection & restoration; Climate resilience & early warning; Ethics & responsible operations; Scaling pilots to programs; Policy & enabling environments; Community-led monitoring; and Youth & gender inclusion.
